Whether your a brand or a dietitian, the first step in getting started with RD Link is to complete your profile. This is your space to showcase your products, company, or expertise as a dietitian. Below you’ll find our top tips to help you make the most of your profile whether you’re a brand or a dietitian.
Stand Out as a Brand On RD Link
Your profile is the place to show off your brand in front of thousands of nutrition experts. If you were a nutrition expert what would you want to know?
- RDs want to know who you are, what you stand for, and how they can help. If it’s a new to them product the first thing they will want to see is nutrition facts and ingredients.
- Include your company’s start up story, mission, and/or values so they can get a feel for who you are and if it’s a fit for their clients or audience
- Share how you are currently looking to work with RDs
- Upload any supporting documents – product images, nutrition facts panels, marketing videos, or white papers and research documents
- Speak to them like they are experts – show you value their expertise and don’t be afraid to use more clinical or technical language
Pro Tip:
Your Outreach Posts appear on your profile too and will show RDs just how they can support you or connect. Plus, when you create a post all the RDs are notified.

Stand out as a Registered Dietitian on The RD Link
Your profile is where brands get to know more about you and understand how or if you may be able to support them. Treat your profile like a casual resume and a snapshot into your expertise.
- When creating your profile you can select up to 3 industries and specialities. These essentially serve as TAGS in the system to help brands find you. Brands can filter by industry, specialty, location, and personal characteristics. Make sure you update these as needed and ensure they are accurate – particularly locations if you move!
- Next, link to your website and social media. If you offer social media services this is essential! Brands will want to see your accounts and past work.
- The bio – Share about who you work with or where you work, what you specialize in, how you work with brands, or any other notable experiences. This should not be a formal resume with education history or full work experience. Keep it current. Brands want to know what type of audience or clients you currently help and engage with.
- Include how you like to work with brands in your description
- Upload a media kit or examples of past partners or work samples if you have it
- Opportunities appear on your profile too and give brands an idea of more specific ways you can support them.
Pro Tip:
The BEST way to stand out as an RD on RD Link is to create an OPPORTUNITY. An Opportunity is any current way you can support different brand partners. This could be a post for seeking samples to share at a health fair or in client goodie bags, sponsors for a tv spot or podcast, newsletter partner, event sponsor, etc. Some RDs even post blog writing or other content creation services. When you create a post all the brands are notified!
