What is a “Partnership Pitch”?

A Partnership Pitch is a simple proposal post for potential brand partnerships. When you publish a partnership pitch – all the brands in The RD Link network are notified via email.  They get it right in their inbox and can determine if it’s a good fit for them.

Your partnership pitch highlights:

  • The opportunity you have available
  • Who your audience is
  • A price range for your offer

The Partnership Pitch includes an easy-to-use form you fill out that asks basic questions about your pitch. You do it all right within The RD Link – no cold email pitch required!

Once you submit the form, your pitch is sent to all active brands in the community. If a brand is interested, they’ll reach out to you directly.

In other words, you don’t have to hunt down brand contacts or guess who to pitch. Brands see your idea and come to you.

Why Should You Use This Feature?

The Partnership Pitch is one of our favorite features on RD Link. It allows you to reach a number of brands at once who are looking to work with dietitians.

Instead of direct messaging each brand separately through the messaging portal, this feature notifies all active brands at once and gives them the details they will want to know. Posting your idea once and having every active brand notified saves massive time and makes the process smoother, warmer, and way more aligned.

If you’re completely new to RD Link, our Partnership Pitch form is an excellent way to connect with food and health brands without cold emailing or DM’ing social media teams hoping you reach the right person.

Partnership Pitch Step-by-Step

Follow the steps below to post a Partnership Pitch.

#1 Login into your account and go to your RD dashboard. Locate the “My Partnership Pitches” tab on the left-hand menu.

#4 Fill in the rest of the basic information about your pitch. Be as detailed as possible.

And that’s it! You can create multiple Partnership Pitches using this same process.

As we’ve mentioned, all brands will be notified when you post a new pitch. Then they will reach out if it’s a good fit for them.

Not Sure What to Post? Here are Ideas!

Brand Partnership Pitches

If you aren’t sure what to pitch but want to work with brands, we get it. The key is to consider what you’re doing that a brand could be involved in.

Many dietitians aren’t used to pitching themselves, and that’s exactly why this feature exists.

Here are a few ideas to start:

Health Fair Samples

Are you hosting or attending a health fair or local event? Post an opportunity to share samples at the event. Share how their product can get in front of hundreds of local consumers.

Private Practice Opportunities

There are tons of opportunities for private practice dietitians to work with brands. Think:

  • Patient samples
  • Waiting room materials for an in-person space
  • Patient education bundles
  • Welcome kit partnerships
  • Local brand features in handouts or programs

Media Opportunities

If you write for publications, host a podcast, or do TV segments, pitch your opportunities to include products and brand sponsorship.

Sponsored Events

Perfect for workshops, cooking demos, challenges, webinars, community events, or athletic events where product integration makes sense.

Recipe Development

Offer custom recipes featuring the brand’s product. The brand may include the recipe on their site, or you can include it on your recipe blog for a fee.

Content Creation

Short-form videos, social content, educational graphics, YouTube videos, and sponsored blog posts and newsletters.

Corporate Wellness Programming

Brands love reaching employees through nutrition-focused sessions, virtual events, or wellness challenges.

Community Outreach

Diabetes workshops, school events, sports teams, campus events, or local wellness collaborations.

Professional Speaking

For conferences, webinars, and panels, you’re speaking at where a brand may want visibility.

Tips for Pitching Success

Brand Partnership Pitches

The quality of your pitch is extremely important for success. You want the brand to see the value you can bring by partnering with you.

Here’s how to make your Partnership Pitch stand out and make brands want to work with you:

Position the value to the brand

Make the pitch less about why you want to collaborate and more about:

  • Who they will reach
  • What visibility do they gain
  • How many people will they reach
  • How will their product or brand/logo be displayed or presented
  • How their product fits naturally into your idea

Be specific

Try to be as clear and specific as you can.

“Sponsoring an event” or “Collaborating on Social Media” is vague.

“Providing samples and signage for a 40-person spring wellness workshop focused on heart-healthy cooking” is clear.

“Creating educational content for a social media audience of 8,000 geared towards people with diabetes who are interested in recipes” is clear.

Highlight audience alignment

Show why your audience overlaps with their ideal customer.

Mention deliverables

Brands love clarity. What exactly will they receive?

Keep it short and readable

Make it easy for brands to see the value quickly.

Share examples of past success (optional but helpful)

If you’ve hosted an event, created content, or partnered before, mention it!
