Each brand in the LINK hub is one that a nutrition expert would feel comfortable sharing with their clients or audiences. We understand that everyone has different dietary needs and we trust our experts to use their professional judgment when recommending products to individuals.
The companies represented must value and choose to promote accurate nutrition information over false claims, confusing information, and fad diets. LINK brands prioritize simple and nutritious ingredients.
We prioritize brands that make a conscious effort to better the planet and society (ie recyclable packaging, sustainability and environmentally friendly practices, second chances, donations, certified B corps, etc.).
Our brands must meet the following criteria:
Eggs - free-range or pasture-raised
Dairy & Plant-Based Dairy - flavored varieties should have less than 7 grams of added sugar per serving
Meats - must be lean and minimally processed, less than 4.5g of saturated fat per serving, less than 400mg of sodium, preferably grass-fed
Grains - must have a 100% whole grain listed as the first ingredient
Beverages - preferably unsweetened, may include natural sweeteners or real sugars as long as sugar is less than 1 gram per serving
Granola and Snack Bars - whole grains, whole food ingredients, less than 7 grams of sugar, at least 4 grams of fiber, at least 4 grams of protein
Sports and Energy Bars - no artificial sweeteners
A Note on Sweeteners - Sweetened products should use a real source of sugar (sugar, maple syrup, honey, molasses, brown sugar) over non-nutritive sweeteners. Monk fruit and stevia will be allowed. Products using artificial sweeteners (sucralose, acesulfame K, aspartame, etc.) or highly processed sugars (high fructose corn syrup, etc.) will not be considered. Products that list sugar as the first ingredient will not be considered.
